The 127 Yard Sale is the longest yard sale in the world. It’s 690 miles long and travels through six states; Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. Stop and shop and enjoy our hospitality.
The 400 Mile Yard Sale is sometimes referred to as the US 68 Yard Sale. It stretches across Kentucky and passes straight through Mercer County the first weekend in June annually.
Managing Director Allan Barlow brings his one-man adaptation of Dickens’ timeless classic to the Ragged Edge stage. This beloved tale of Scrooge comes to life on the Ragged Edge Community Theatre stage.

The “Big Jack” Pearson Memorial Car Show is
presented by the Central Kentucky Hotrodders during Pioneer Days. All vehicles are welcome, multiple vehicle categories. Drawings for giveaways and so much more.
The annual Joe Wilson Memorial Truck Pull takes place the second Saturday in September at the Mercer County Fair Grounds. See big trucks from local pullers to national talent. Get excited and cheer on your favorite as their engine revs!
Join Shaker Village and the Long Run Woodford Hounds fox chasers for this grand, traditional event featuring a blessing of the hounds, riders and the fox, followed by an exhibition of riding and hunting techniques.This event is included with your general admission.
Enjoy a kid-friendly brunch buffet in The Trustees’ Table or a continental breakfast in the Meeting House, then join the fun at Family Farm Days and meet the new additions of all the babies to the “farmily.”
Cabin Fever Reliever music festival at Terrapin Hill Farm is famous for great music, friendly people and gorgeous sunrises on the knob. Shake the winter blues. Join us for the first concert of the year.
Spend the weekend with world-acclaimed musicians from New York’s Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The Chamber Music Festival of the Bluegrass is a Central Kentucky cultural destination hosted by Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill.
The Mercer Chamber of Commerce presents the Buy Local Block Party as a shop local event. The Block Party last all day, encouraging shoppers to buy local with prize drawings announced hourly, live music and local food trucks.
Come see the Harrodsburg Christmas Forest and enjoy a free and amazing display of trees from our community! Held outdoors at Old Fort Harrod State Park. Open the entire holiday season.
You’ll find stocking stuffers and gifts to go under the tree at this holly jolly holiday market! Regional artists will inspire the season of giving with booths overflowing with Christmas cheer.
The holiday shopping event downtown culminates at Old Towne Square where Santa patiently listens to children’s Christmas wishes. Shops will have extended hours with discounts and specials. There will also be the drawing for the Shop Small Scavenger Hunt leading up to the event.

Celebrate spring with this egg-citing family event! Kids of all ages are invited to hunt for eggs, meet the newest additions to the farm family, hunt for the golden egg, make a craft and much more!
The Family Reunion Music Festival is an annual summer gathering to celebrate family with music, camping, food and sunrises on the knob at Terrapin Hills Farm. It is open to the public to attend and is a preview for the Harvest Music Festival.
Each Fresh Food Adventure has an all-inclusive fixed dinner and spirits menu. Fresh Food Adventures are communal dining experiences, and guests should expect to share their table with other dining enthusiasts.
Mercer’s fireworks display is a free community event to celebrate Independence Day. Families gather to watch fireworks, eat from food vendors and enjoy the park. Fireworks start at dark.
Old Fort Harrod State Park’s annual Holiday Open House invites all to tour the fort the fort decorated with candle lanterns and rustic decorations the pioneers used. See Santa by the fire place in our blockhouse and including cider and cookies. This is a free event.
Celebrate all things fall and kick off the harvest season with a down-home celebration for the entire family! Take a hayride, paint a pumpkin, climb haystacks, ride a pony and play in the bouncy house.

Old Fort Harrod State Park holds an annual Haunted Frontier so visitors can experience the smoky darkness of this historic place. Not recommended for children under 10 or the weak hearted.

Our Christmas Tea Room is a tradition in Harrodsburg! A little twist has been made to make it more COVID friendly. Seating will be available at Morgan Row but the event will also be held virtually to learn about the history of formal teas.

Enjoy great outdoor theater in the historic amphitheater at Old Fort Harrod State Park. “James Harrod: The Battle for Kentucky” gives visitors a very entertaining and historically correct story of Harrodsburg’s founding days.
The Kentucky Heritage Jazz Festival is a free two-day, two weekend event featuring live jazz music on the front lawn of historic Old Fort Harrod State Park. Come out and listen to world-class jazz musicians under the stars!
A fireworks event held over Lake Herrington is fun for all. Also, a lighted boat parade across the water adds to the Fourth of July celebration. The show starts at dark. Free to attend.

MAFEW holds the family friendly event the first Saturday of December. Children can meet the Santa Claus along with the Grinch and enjoy in arts and crafts, sweets and treats as everyone prepares for the holiday season.
The Mercer County Fair and Horse Show is the longest running fair and horse show in the United States. The fair is always the last full week of July. The fair also has truck pulls, derbys, midway, livestock shows and pageants fill the week.
We are located in the “Stable” located at the Mercer County Fairgrounds, 560 Linden Ave. We accept WIC and Senior Vouchers.

Central Kentucky’s largest Oktoberfest celebration is right on Main Street. A weekend of beer, live music and community. Dress in your best German attire and enjoy brats, pretzels, beer and so much more!
An annual event the Ol’ Iron Rundown is a 1972 & older traditional hot rod, custom car, truck and motorcycle show complete with live music, pageants, vendors and family entertainment. A great time for every member of the family.
Picnic in the Park is a free live music event held every Friday at noon throughout the summer. Featuring local and regional talent, families are encouraged to pack a picnic and join in the fun under the Osage Orange tree.
